‘Fire Tide II’ is from a small ongoing series of paintings
Fire Tide II is an exploration of light and lustre. The light red, violet and greens glow between layers of indigo and the lustrous ultramarine blue is a hand-mulled translucent pigment applied in multiple layers to capture light. The nature of this colour creates an emanating presence in blue. The light red and blue push and pull as they expand and contract.
In the creation of this piece I’m utilizing bespoke squeegees and acrylic tools and acrylic paint & hand-mulled pigment on canvas.
