‘Go and Meet the Rain XII’ is one in a series of paintings exploring creativity.
The Go and Meet the Rain series has its inception from a moving line in the ancient Book of Changes – the I Ching. The text deals in elemental realities, suggesting the greening of the desert after rainfall. This directed me to move to that place in myself where creativity bubbles forth. In these challenging times I feel a much stronger imperative to look within and find that still, calm place and then build and create from there.
In the creation of this piece I’m utilizing silicone painting blades, bespoke acrylic tools and fluid and heavy body acrylic paints.
